ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2021

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Mandate Health Empowerment Initiative

The project is aimed at creating awareness on mental health among students and providing psychological support for victims of abuse or depressed students.

About the Millennium Fellow

Esther Bassey is a student of Medical Physiology, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Health Sciences, University of Uyo, Nigeria where she also serves as the Editor 2 of the Faculty. She has been an ambassador of over ten International conferences and organizations including iMed 12.0, IX In4Med, ISCON-mefos 2.0, 15th YES Meeting, etc. In addition to this, she presented an abstract at the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) ongoing research conference and she is a Research assistant with RadScholars Inc (International Research in Radiology Fellowship). With great interests in the areas of Neurology, Psychiatry, Maternal and Child Health as well as Global Health, she is an active volunteer with a number of related organizations. She led the University of Uyo team to the 2021 Emory Morningside Global Health Case Competition, she was also the Hult Prize 2020/2021 campus director for her University.
