ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2021

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: HealthActive

HealthActive is a team of public health enthusiasts aiming at estimating public awareness on hypertension, following up on patient treatment and promoting healthy lifestyle modification in the teeming Nigerian population. Hypertension also known as the silent killer disease and it is a major risk factor of Cardiovascular Disease. Public awareness creation, health education and follow up on treatment and lifestyle modification of individuals in regards to hypertension had been inadequate and this had led to high mortality rate resulting from uncontrolled hypertension. This project aims to present health education and awareness which will result in profound reduction in cases of hypertension over the period of the Millennium Fellowship (August-December 2021)

About the Millennium Fellow

Ogaga Oghwe is young man who is committed to making impact wherever he finds himself. He communicates very fluently and excitingly in English. He was born in Delta State, Nigeria. He had both his primary and secondary education in Delta State. He presently studies Pharmacy at the University of Uyo, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
Ogaga Oghwe is passionate about football and networking.
He hopes to use his profession in improving global health.
