In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. " Being a part of the Millennium Fellowship is a great opportunity to reach out to my target audience;the young students,to teach and mentor them on the need to develop themselves in every aspect of their lives;In alliance to the 2nd principle of the UNAI, as well as the 3rd SDG.
On the other hand,I'm a potential health professional,and I've seen the dangers of ignorance,as regards Health. Thus, the need for mass sensitization on personal development, which I hope to achieve soon. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: The Need for Personal Development
My project titled, "The Need for Personal Development", is one that has its target on the young students in Secondary schools within my locality in Agulu and Nise areas of Anambra State, Nigeria, and encompasses youth development on various aspects of their lives. The sessions handled, includes:
•Emotional intelligence •Your mental health as a student •Academic excellence •Social impact as a youth •Holiness symposium: Spiritual growth as a Christain •Economic/financial development.
The young students were properly guided,and mentored on the need for personal development,and the importance of building capacity and uniqueness in this changing world,and the need to care for one's health.This project is in alliance with the 2nd UNAI principle; Capacity building, as well as the 3rd SDG; Good health and wellbeing.
The goal is to build a community of transformed youths, that will change the narrative of our society for the better.
About the Millennium Fellow
Emeribe Chisom Ruth is a young medical professional,and a student leader, and is currently in her penultimate year in Nnamdi Azikiwe University,Anambra State in Nigeria. She was born in Port-harcourt, Rivers state,Nigeria and raised in her Hometown in Imo state, Nigeria.
Chisom has always been known for her sincere dedication to whatever she sets her mind to do. She's a vice president,and a Treasurer as well, in two different fellowships, and she upholds emphathetic leadership. She is also emotionally intelligent,hence her ability to solve some problems of the fellowships,and the individuals.
