ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2021

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Pad A Girl Project

Pad a Girl Child Project (P.A.G.P) is a project which aims to reduce inequality and gender discrimination in the South Eastern part of Nigeria. The project is led by Millennium Fellow, Ikaraoha Macdonald and the project aims to address issues of gender discrimination by hosting school outreaches and community outreaches. In the school outreaches, proper education and giving away of free sanitary pads will be the core of the outreaches, while in the community outreaches, awareness of the importance of the girl child in the society will be emphasised.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ikaraoha Macdonald Chinecherem is a young, talented, and competitive pharmacy student at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, an institution located in the South Eastern part of Nigeria.
He was born in the Northern part of the country, and is the only male child of his family. Right from his high school days, he has being passionate for societal change, change in widely accepted norms that impedes societal development amongst others. This passion was fueled after gaining admission to study pharmacy, and by meeting new people with the same zeal, he has participated in outreaches that aims to educate the society . He is currently volunteering in an NGO that educate teenagers on choice of career and developing digital skills. He is a graphic designer, and believes that through accurate transmission of information, the world can be renewed.
