" Being open-minded about ideas, and creative problem solving are the foundation for my work. Participating in the Millennium Fellowship will broaden my perspective on the issues I advocate for. Furthermore, it will give me practical skills on how I can make more of an impact in my community. I will acquire knowledge on how to make my ideas workable, and to align them with the UNAI principles and SDGs.I am enthusiastic about this opportunity to actualize my ideas. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Equality Drive

A project aimed at creating awareness about the need to promote growth and create development opportunities for both genders and not just a single-gender.

About the Millennium Fellow

Dlamini Abner Khuzwayo is a bright, young and ambitious law student at the University of Nairobi, Parklands Campus. He was born in Nairobi,Kenya where he currently resides. Throughout his life,he has been greatly intrigued by the fact that much attention has been placed on empowering the girlchild, but not as much on the boychild. He believes that this idea is good, but not entirely
appropriate or wholesome. In his small capacity on campus and at home, he seeks to ensure that this empowerment is balanced towards all people regardless of gender, to ensure all people have an equal opportunity to create a greater tomorrow for themselves and their communities, and eventually the world at large. Abner aspires to be in professional and social circles where he can shape and spread these ideas, and contribute to the attainment of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
