About the Millennium Fellow

Laura Mukenye Mutisya is a young ambitious and driven girl who is pursuing a degree in Biochemistry at the University of Nairobi, Chiromo Campus. She has a vision to come together with the youth of her country to improve the quality of education. she became passionate about education because she saw the world in a different light, education means you are acquiring knowledge and knowledge really is power. Most education systems are centred around being book-smart but they leave out alot of important things like self awareness, mental health and rights and freedoms. She aspires to rally youth and make a change on the quality of education being provided in her country and hopefully, make the world a better place.
