ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2021

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

By being part of Millenuim fellowship I will undoubtedly gain skills to supplement my approach to problem solving.I am looking forward to being part of this noble course. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Warrior Glow

Warrior Glow is an initiative that aims to help cancer patients cope with side effects of treatment. Patients experience various side effects including hair loss and discoloration of the nails. This negatively affects their self-esteem as most of them are stigmatized and become isolated. The project aims to encourage and promote self-care. It’s a space where patients will be taught different skills that are easy to do and will be helpful in their journey.

About the Millennium Fellow

Leah Wangari Kinyanjui is a charismatic, driven and smart medical student at the University of Nairobi. She was born in Kajiado county and is currently studying in Nairobi county,Kenya. She is described as passionate and proactive following her participation in various coccuricular activities. Wangari is a natural leader, having lead a couple of groups and projects in and out of school. She believes in finding solutions to problems especially when they involving helping people. Wangari is also an avid researcher. She is a creative, which she expresses visually through poster designing and musically through singing and playing guitar. She is definitely a well rounded student.
