" Someone has to do something about it. Yes, it may be true that we are not by any means in control of the choices people make in their lives but I do believe that a whisper here a piece of advice there would greatly influence the decisions other people make ignorantly in their lives. Early marriages and unplanned pregnancies have been the order of the day in our society for quite a long time now. Consequently, school drop outs have habitually arisen to the new norm. By being a Millennium Fellow, I will learn on how better to solve the issues we currently face in society. It is never too late to push for change, and if we as youths don't stand in the gap and advocate for what is right? Then who will??? "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Imarika Project

Imarika Project purposes to improve our society in various aspects or dynamics by categorically promoting education, mental well being and culture among societal members especially targeting the youth. By so doing we advance SDG 3, 4 and 5. We technically visit youths especially those in marginalized areas and try impact them positively especially by mentorship, motivation ,guidance and counselling. We also share on issues affecting youths generally encouraging all to open up and by so doing we come in handy to salvage some desperate, self destructious cases. This greatly promotes mental well being. By visiting different places we purpose to promote the specific regions culture.

About the Millennium Fellow

Kirianki Lennox Kimathi is a young Kenyan man with an ambition to go beyond the limits of mere survival. Born in 2001, Lennox watched closely over the years as life shaped itself around him, categorically defining the good and the bad in society. He went through a terrible ordeal with local gangsters at the tender age of ten where he remembers seeing people get murdered in cold blood all in the name of trying to seize some of their belongings. Since then, he swore to seek justice and ensure that fairness prevails. Moreover, he took into books fearing the terrible events that could lead to him leading a misguided drug and gangster life like most youths during that time. He has a relentless drive to impact the society and be an icon of change and as such is part of a society aiding group that he and three others branded,"Swift to Society". Truly , life is what we make it and the decisions we make determine our future lives. Lennox says, choose wisely, for life is a roller-coaster ride .
