United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

And if they are well mentored we shall realize the aspirations we have as a nation and the Sustainable Development Goals at large. Millennium Fellowship therefore is a platform that will give me a stronger footing in realizing my agenda to impact lives and create a confident, value -based leaders who protects human rights and democracy and respects the rule of law. This is also a platform for me to learn from other leaders and the alumnus who have caused an impact to the world and have walked through the same road. I am so excited to be part of this family. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: The Voice of Youngsters Kenya
The Voice of Youngsters is an initiative and a project aimed and geared towards nurturing young leaders. Leaders who are value oriented and respect the rule of law, democracy and human rights. This project targests the youths especially those who are in the colleges and Secondary levels of Education. In addition to this, one of our agenda is mentoring young people on how to deal with mental health issues that has been one of the challenges brought about by the Covid-19. We look forward to impacting on more than 5000 lives by the end of Millennium Fellowship calendar 2021.
About the Millennium Fellow
Phenny Awuor, is a Kenyan born and brought up in Kenya. She is a third year student of Law at the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Throughtout her academic life she has been taught nothing but confidence and service to others above self which she embraces as one of her virtues. She believes in democracy the rule of law, human rights and equality of all regaradless of their social standing. She also believes in the potential of every person and that leaders are not only born but also created. Knowing that the world is looking for leaders who will not only stand firm for what is right and just but also those who will not lose their individuality in the crowd because everyone else is doing it and pledge allegiance to their integrity. Phenny celebrates being a product of impactful people who have been a great support to her throught her life and education, the Zest For Life (UK), Mr. George Ototo(MD KUSSCO-KENYA) and her parents who brought her up as a God-fearing Christian.
