" The future awaits the young to take up the challenge to make it better for the coming generations. As a Millennium Fellow, I have an opportunity to take up the challenge and make a positive difference in my community and the world at large through a partnership with other fellows and receiving professional guidance. This is thrilling and a dream come true as I have been passionate about this course. I will be able to explore my creativity in problem-solving and also work synergetically with others to make our world a better place. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: AmaniNiSisi

#Amani Ni Sisi is a Kiswahili phrase meaning peace is us. This project is a campaign project aiming at finding and implementing sustainable solutions to armed conflicts in my community, northern Kenya, and my country at large. It is a community-inclusive project and it involves active engagement with afflicted communities; listening to their plights, providing foodstuff, sensitizing the community on the importance of peace, peaceful surrender, and disarmament of weapons enlightening the communities on alternative and peaceful ways of earning a living inter alia beadwork, effective grazing, and farming. I intend to mobilize my community and organize an arts and cultural event and sports event liaising with my community leaders to raise funds to support the project.
