" Accountability drives me in my work. The fact that I have to be accountable for whatever I set out to do.Being a part of Millennium Fellowship will enhance this skill collaboratively. The skills I gain from Millennium Fellowship will make my social impact on women in the community more tangible and aligned with the UNAI principles and SDGs. I am excited to leave a footprint in the community and learn new things along the way and also get to network with students globally. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Women

Green Women is a women-based initiative offering a space for women to shift the narrative on empowerment, access to, and impact in/of the built environment. It's aim is to see to it that women take up sustainable development roles and that they contribute equally rather than being seen as beneficiaries.

About the Millennium Fellow

Silvia Wambui Ngotho is a smart, young and energetic Real Estate student at the University of Nairobi. She was born and raised in Nyeri, Kenya and is currently studying in Nairobi, Kenya. For as long as she can remember Silvia has always been passionate about women. She has also been vocal about the issues facing women. More so, GBV, sexual harrassment and the empowerment of women. This drive translated itself from Silvia's experiences and the women around her. Throughout her highschool years and currently in her college years, she has always wanted to do something of impact but never found an opportunity. Now she has found a chance where she can finally contribute to impacting somebody's life. She plans to continue this even in future. Silvia aspires to be in a professional field where she can cultivate these advocacies further and provide her own contribution in the development of the United Nation's Sustainable Goals.
