ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2021

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Washa Stima

My project, “Washa Stima”, aims to achieve Clean and Affordable Energy for SDG #7 and No Poverty SDG #1. It is integral to introduce the role poverty reduction can play when interacting with energy transition to just and sustainable futures across the world. By liasing with Total Energy's CSR department, I was able to help marginalised businesses that experience power shortages to acquire solar lighting.

About the Millennium Fellow

My name is Frank Odhiambo Okoth-Menya. I am an undergraduate student really interested in Environmentalism. I hope to enter a career in environmental policy. There is much that can be done i that field in climate adaptation because the world is already messed up as it is.
