" The Millennium Fellowship is an incredibly unique opportunity that allows you to collaborate with similarly motivated peers around the world. Access to this and the training provided allows us all to better understand a global perspective on the issues we are addressing and gives us the resources needed to achieve a sustainable, meaningful social impact. I am so excited to network with and be inspired by other Fellows around the globe and create change together. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health Initiative

The Mental Health Initiative is a program that hopes to eliminate common stigmas and biases surrounding mental health. We hope to achieve this by providing resources on mental health and self-care practices on our website and holding numerous panels with current college students to discuss these issues with local high schools. Although a certain amount of our impact won't be tangible, we hope to hold 4-5 presentations with local high schools, reaching around 20 students per session, over the course of the fellowship.

About the Millennium Fellow

Kathryn Wilson is a driven junior studying Global Affairs and Psychology at the University of Texas at San Antonio. She was born in and currently studying in Texas, United States. She has long been passionate about understanding mental health and promoting better awareness for her peers. Her interest in international studies and involvement in the Model United Nations Society at her college has made her aware of the global impact of issues, such as a lack of education on mental health. Kathryn is excited to contribute to addressing these issues as part of the Millennium Fellowship, hoping to leave an impact on her community.
