United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. The Class of 2021 is bold, innovative, and inclusive.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Health Note
Health Note is a project that is meant to promote physical health in local communities and reduce mental health challenges through exercise training , health education and health campaigns . It aims to improve the quality of life for every individual by bringing awareness and encouraging people to take 100% responsibility for their health. Its main focus is bridging the information gap between the community and health care facilities . It will foster collaboration with the leading health entities through formal partnerships to reach out to as many people as possible. It aims to create a sustainable healthy society . It believes that when people lead healthy lives their performance in all arenas of life improve . It seeks to build great social orbits within the community that strengthen solidarity and enhance contribution towards the wellness of everyone .
About the Millennium Fellow
Shelton Matsongoni is an inspiring and intentional young leader . I was born and raised in Mpopoma , Bulawayo . Currently studying a bachelors degree in physiotherapy at the University of Zimbabwe . I am currently serving at the Global Leadership Network Zimbabwe a young people's steering committee . I believe in sustainable development a directed change that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs . Serving as an advocate for sustainable development goals, a global agenda of the United Nations which sets a plan of action for people, planet and prosperity .
