" Growing up in a poor society I have always questioned why my society is the way it was and always tries to contribute in ways I could. But these time I have understood that to change a society, many works should be done on the new generation children. There is nothing heart breaking than to see a child in a disadvantage society. Therefore making education available for children in a poor society requires collaboration with different stakeholders. In order to do that having a leadership and communication skill is very important. And this Fellowship provides me with just that and many more opportunities. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Her Future
Project Her Future is a project that is initiated on 2022. It works on provision of training for adolecent female with or without disability on issues that ovscure their bright future. The project plans to decrease the number of unwanted pregnancy and unsafe abortion and addictionamong adolecent girls.which are the most identified causes to ruin the future of young female students.
About the Millennium Fellow
I am Meskerem Dessie Demessa, an ambitious, young woman who loves to work to improve herself and her surrounding. I am currently a medical student at Addis Ababa university, college of health science which is giving me great opportunity to see what is really lacking in my society. I am born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I have been part of many projects under different clubs in my university that provide different trainings for highschool and elementary students. aspire to be in a profession where I am helping and giving out to the society that has tought me.
