Being a part of the Millennium Fellowship will enhance my soft skills in terms of leadership and communication, helping me to better my communication with my community and make social impact.

Millennium Fellowship Project: National Mental Health Advocacy Campaign

The project is aimed at increasing awareness about mental health and mental health advocacy. It involves creating awareness about mental health disorders, their signs and symptoms and possible solutions to them.

About the Millennium Fellow

Aisha Asila Ahmed is a fourth year dental student in the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Kaduna, Nigeria. In addition to her dedication to becoming a dental surgeon, Aisha is highly enthusiastic about blockchain technology and how it can improve the healthcare system in terms of healthcare education and delivery.

Aisha is also passionate about mental health advocacy. She currently volunteers as the Project Team Member of the Nigerian Medical Students’ Association (NiMSA) National Mental Health Advocacy Campaign *Team* established to educate different communities about mental health. Through this project, she hopes to improve the outcomes of mental health advocacy in Nigeria and ensure its sustainability.
