Millennium Fellowship Project: Own Your Period.
OWN YOUR PERIOD is a project that seeks to alleviate period poverty by providing young girls in underserved communities with sanitary pads, educative materials on menstrual hygiene and also teaching them how to make reusable sanitary pads.
About the Millennium Fellow
Okhuoya Jonathan ikhide is a hardworking and dedicated individual who puts his heart to everything he does in life. He is a student of the ahmadu bello university, studying Quantity surveying in the faculty of Environmental design. He is a student member of the Enactus ahmadu bello university whom has taken the responsibility in tackling the effect of plastic pollution and also a trainee at the tobaline plumbing company. Growing up, okhuoya Jonathan has had this dream of helping the homeless ever since his childhood and in achieving that dream he has been doing a personal charity function to raise money , food and clothing on or before his birthday which is June 26th every year and it has been a successful charity function for the last two years. His interest are sustainable construction and development, music , football, art and design ,dance and helping others. With the trainings and exposures, Okhuoya Jonathan hopes to achieve the united nations sustainable development goal 11 which is sustainable cities and communities and SDG 6, clean water and sanitation to make the world a better place .
