" Living in a developing country all my life I've witnessed people with good intentions promise change and solution to problems but do not have the means and skills to actualize those promises. This is why I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow, I believe it would equip me with the means and skills along side the appropriate connections needed to achieve any set goal or cause. "

About the Millennium Fellow
Chidalu Osondu-Opara is a young and ambitious medical student at Afe Babalola university, Nigeria. She was born in Nigeria and has lived here all her life. She has always wanted to explore and travel the world making an impact wherever she goes but since as they say "charity begins at home" she had to start making what little impact she could in a place she's called home for over 23 years- Nigeria. Being the first of five children she has always been in a position of leadership and responsibility so taking on roles of leadership comes natural to her from being the choir mistress at her local church, to heading school projects and community outreaches.
Chidalu hopes to harness her leadership skills to the fullest, learning from and working together with others to make a significant contribution to her country and the world at large.
