Millennium Fellowship Project: Itójú ara sájú oyún

Preconceptional care is an individualized care for men and women that is focused on reducing maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality, increasing the chances of conception when pregnancy is desired, and providing contraceptive counseling to help prevent unintended pregnancies. Delivers on the promise to provide comprehensive care to the patient. Help identify patient childbearing goals, screen for risk factors that can impact on future pregnancies and provide interventions to help women enter pregnancy in optimal health. Preconceptional health care has been neglected especially in developing countries. This project will mainly be focused on educating, creating awareness and providing intervention and care and further give insight on the risk to be identified and prevented. Likewise an assessment to identify safe method, counselling to choose a contraceptive method .
Preconception health is an important health care to both men and women that shouldn't be neglected rather emphasized whether a woman desires to get pregnant or not, and men in the aspect of looking out for the women thereby providing quality preconception care and provide quality woman health care.

About the Millennium Fellow

Okeke Ogechukwu , a final year medical student of Afe babalola university. I am from Anambra State, I'm an introvert, calm and collected personality. The first child of 3 children. Hobbies are sleeping, watching movie, cooking and reading.An easy going, compassionate, loving, kind, down to earth and a sweet girl but this sweet girl procrastinates and is not too consistent at times but tries her best to see she gives her all in things she makes up her mind to do. This platform will really help me to see how I can render the little and necessary aid needed, through impacting, educating and counselling.
