" "You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you.” The above is a statement I live by. I believe in making an impact on people and reaching as many people as possible. Being a part of the Millennium Fellowship will enable me do this even more, also serve as an experience gaining and self development platform. It will be an avenue for networking, improving my intellectual abilities and a basis for teamwork encouragement. I am excited to increase my anticipatory competence and further align my goals with the UNAl principles and SDGs. "

To educate a girl child means to train her mind, character and abilities. Education is fundamental human right that should be availed to every girl child irrespective of the age and nationality. The importance of education in the life of a girl child can never be over-emphasised.Girls’ education goes beyond getting girls into school. It is also about ensuring that girls learn and feel safe while in school; have the opportunity to complete all levels of education, acquiring the knowledge and skills to compete in the labor market; gain socio-emotional and life skills necessary to navigate and adapt to a changing world; make decisions about their own lives; and contribute to their communities and the world.
For this initiative, I would be liaising with other aspirants in the millennium programme SDG5 to bring women of different ethnicities together to help them develop their people and leadership skills, foster their relationship with one another, provide them professional and personal mentorship, encourage them to create job opportunities for themselves and take up leadership roles.
