Millennium Fellowship Project: Khairi Sabi
We Provide electric tractors , parboiled rice machine and rice mill machines to small-scale farmers using an app called (Khairi Sabi). Allowing them to communicate with our agents in the basse Guinea. Furthermore, the farmers are not supposed to pay for the services after the harvest, they are supposed to bring the products to our Agri-processing company to be transformed into finished products, and then they will have the opportunity to become our external stakeholders while earning profits, which will help us put our products on a national and international level.
About the Millennium Fellow
Isata Dem was born and raised in Sierra Leone but currently resides in Kigali, Rwanda, for study purposes. She is presently a third-year International Business & Trade student at the African Leadership University. She has always been passionate about giving back to her community. This disposition has helped her focus more on humanity than what makes humans different. The prevalence of illiteracy and poverty in her community has further inspired her to help those in her community. She has been engaged in various community service projects in South Africa, Rwanda, and Sierra Leone. Through these community engagements, she has realized that pursuing Development Economics after completing her undergraduate program will help her contribute to the change she wants to see. She believes this will further help her positively contribute to improving S.D.G.s 1 (Poverty) and 8 (Decent work and Economic growth) of the Sustainable Development Goals.
