" Just thinking about the immense learning opportunities that come with being surrounded by like-minded peers is very exciting. The ideas we can trade, projects to work on and even problems to solve - simply put, is mind-blowing! "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Asharafu Interactive STEM and Mentoring Program

The Ashrafu ISMP initiative seeks to raise the next generation of women leaders in STEM, from the underserved and marginalized regions of Kilifi, Kenya. This project aims to inspire and motivate young women to continue with their education and cultivate an interest in the STEM fields through involvement in an intensive, two-week “boot camp”. STEM fields will help create the innovations that will power the African continent, and they offer women well-paid and respected career opportunities.

About the Millennium Fellow
