" I am a great communicator, motivated by any opportunity where I can learn new things or engage with people. I have respect for those I work with and I'm always willing to take on greater responsibilities to help out. I will bring these qualities as a Millennium Fellow at my school, in addition to my other strengths, which include multitasking, project management and in-person and digital communication. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Readers Are Leaders

Reders Are Leaders (RAL) is a community project based in the township of Daveyton, South Africa. The reading club creates an environment that encourages the children to read in different ways. Every Saturday when the children arrive, we start off with FREE READING. They start a session with choosing a book to read alone, with friends or with an adult. This experience builds their story bank while it helps them construct their literate identities. We want to help empower the whole youth of South Africa by ensuring that they have access to books.
