Millennium Fellowship Project: Swetcha - Right to lead life
I felt the Millennium Fellowship program would help me bring change to society. Women empowerment and women joining the workforce is really important. I want to contribute to this cause as much as I can.
I feel everyone has to be given the opportunity to lead their life in their way without causing any physical or mental harm to anyone. From a young age, children are subjected to stereotypical training that encourages them to pursue either engineering or medicine and, in some instances, being gay or a member of the LGBTQ community is seen as a joke and is degrading. This creates difficulties for these children as they grow up, making it challenging to lead a fulfilling life. Therefore, I would like to bring awareness among people on this issue and I want to stress on a point that everyone has the right to lead their life as they wish since no one has a right to question or judge them unless it is harming them.
