Ashoka University | Sonipat, India | Advancing SDG 4 & UNAI 3
" I have worked to understand how economic disparities lead to inequitable access to quality education. With my education, I feel responsible to ensure that people around me are able to receive quality education, regardless of their family incomes. Being a Millennium Fellow will enable me to network with young leaders who are making an impact by implementing the SDGs through their initiatives. The skills I gain from the Fellowship will make my social impact on equitable access to quality education more aligned with UNAI principles and SDGs. It is an opportunity for me to enhance my leadership skills and widen my outreach for my initiative, in turn, touching more lives. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Prabha
The project, Prabha, aims to impart quality education to children from underprivileged communities by training them on critical thinking, argument writing, close reading, and public speaking for free. It bridges the economic gap between government schools where fees are less but educational quality is extremely poor and private schools wherein educational quality is good but fees are exorbitant.
