Millennium Fellowship Project: Mousy Made Abreast
The project Mousy Made Abreast (MMA) is focused on SDGs 5- Gender Equality which is focused on every Girl Child in the society that is being discriminated and seen as less important in the community. It will be an awareness project with the aim of making the Voice of the Girl Child relevant in the society and also to be recognised persons in the society and not just a house wife personality, birthing machine and family builder. This project is aimed at women
recognising their God given potential of multitasking and succeeding in every aspect or career path chosen as they are blessed with unaccessed potentials. Mousy Made Abreast is going to be an impacting ground for women who wants to harness this potential and make impact in the globe.
Also it is focused on eliminating gender inequality in our society.
About the Millennium Fellow
Favour Onyinye Nkwocha is a 27 years old competitive and ambitious woman currently studying Library and Information Science in Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi, Nigeria. She was born and raised up in Nigeria, from an average background and a family who doesn't believe in gender equality and treats the female child as housewife property only. The drive about Mousy Made Abreast project(Gender Equality) is fueled due to the circumstances she experienced thereby her strong will to change the world perception about women being more than just housewives but also as individuals who can contribute more to the development of the community and the world at large. Favour dream is to work with an agency who would see potential in her cause and support her movement. She is elevated and excited for this project offer and looks forward to her own contribution in the development of the United Nations' Sustainable Goals. Favour is an intelligent, goal oriented person who sees her past as a drive towards positivity and not failure.
