United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. Over 31,000 young leaders on 2,400+ campuses across 140+ nations applied to join the Class of 2022.  200+ campuses worldwide (just 8%) were selected to host the 3,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Stop the period of Taboo and Alleviate period poverty

The project was a series of Sensitization Campaigns organized in the two anglophone regions of Cameroon which has been recording a high number of non educated youths particularly young girls. During the project, we were able to discuss on sensitive topics that concern menstrual hygienes, Sexually transmitted diseases and Unwanted pregnancies. At the end we shared both female and male condoms as well as flyers to the participants .

About the Millennium Fellow

Abdourraouf Yougouda is a 5th year Medical student at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Bamenda.
He is a young advocate with Leadership spirit and love empowering others . He believes in society where all individuals have access to health equally regardless of the sociocultural background .
As hobbies, he loves playing tennis and football and listening to musics
Currently he is serving as the Director of the standing committee on Sexual and Reproductive health and rights including HIV/AIDS under the Cameroon Medical students Associations.
