" "I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because for the longest time, I have felt as if my voice has little to say. When I've had something to say, it's been in minor tones and low decibles that wouldn't be heard by most. Given the backbone of like-minded individuals and a mission, I am more well-equipped than ever to make this voice of mine say something that matters and can be heard while also letting these hands of mine create impact that people will see. " "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Eagles for Educational Equity

In order to promote the UN sustainable development goal of quality education, our group has decided to curate a college counseling program for the local Boston Public School students. Within this program, students applying to colleges will partner with Boston College students to advance their higher education aspirations and possibilities. Through these consultations, we hope to bring educational equity to students who otherwise may not have access to these resources in consideration to external factors such as family income.

About the Millennium Fellow

Adam Marino is an individual who was raised under the dogma: we were born to serve! He was educated on the benefits of servant leadership from a young age by his father, who shared a similar mission and zeal to be the help that others need and be the change that he wanted to see in the world. Emboldened by a call to education and mentorship as a career path, Adam took his ambitions to like-minded Boston College where he is currently located for his final year of his undergraduate degrees in Biology and Transformative Educational Studies.
