" Competitiveness, resilience, and critical thinking keep me motivated and engaged at work. I believe that by being a part of the Millennium Fellowship, my skills in leadership, communication, and public speaking will be enhanced which will further help me to make a prominent social impact all over the world. I am eager to tap into the places where new skills can be discovered and nurtured and at the same time, increase my existing skills through the learning of better resilience and critical thinking. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Women Empowerment

My project involves helping the women in rural parts of third-world countries such as Bangladesh to become more empowered in terms of wealth, health, and specific rights. All of this will be done by raising awareness of women's rights.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ruaisa Raihana Ahmed is a driven, ambitious, and optimistic business student in her sophomore year at BRAC University in Dhaka, Bangladesh. As a citizen of Bangladesh, throughout her high school years, she took part in helping and supporting her surroundings in terms of women's rights, gender equality, and environmental protection. This gave her the drive to continue such projects in recent times to help the world become a better place. Ruaisa aims to be a successful businesswoman who can put a positive impact by contributing to the development of the United Nations' Sustainable Goals.
