" I am very much concerned about environmental issues. Nowadays its not only my country based problem rather it is a global and international issue as well.
We are doing so many things knowingly or unknowingly that causes environmental degradation or pollution.
As it is a global threat for everyone that's why it think it is a huge matter of concern.My very first reason of joining here is I will be working here as a Millennium Fellow.
For learning news things and self-development ,it is a great platform for me.
I will be able to learn something at every event and it will help me to contribute to the world.
As a Millennium Fellow I want to do something instead of blaming others.So those are my reasons for joining here "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Environmental Club of BUP (EnCBUP)
Environmental Club of BUP (EnCBUP) is the very first club of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) which has been initiated with a view to spreading environmental awareness and accomplishing environmental sustainability. It is the arena of all the nature lovers & environmental enthusiasts of BUP who seek for a cleaner, greener & better environment. The planet Earth is a sanctuary for life. Our beautiful abode is progressively losing its greenery and glory because of our anthropogenic activities. Environmental pollution and climate change is making our earth inhabitable. To revive our earth and combat the climate crisis, multi-sectoral and multi-stakeholder involvement is required. That is why the Environmental Club of BUP has been established with the mission of to protect and improve the environment of our community as well as of our country by promoting awareness of the current state of the environment. The motto of this club is “Caring for Nature, Saving the Future” which unfurls the core vision of this club.
About the Millennium Fellow
Farzana Ferdous Faria is an organized, vibrant, cheerful young women, currently doing her B.Sc in Environmental Science at Bangladesh University of Professionals.She was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh and is currently staying in Mirpur,Dhaka with her family.Farzana is an environmental enthusiast and climate activist whose prime concern is always about the Earth first.
As she is doing her Undergraduation in Environmental Science. So she is a student who is from this sort of environmental background. That's why maybe she is more concerned about our environment and nature than the others. So one of her intentions is to preparing educated and accountable young generation who will be showing liability in terms of environmental problems and being concerned about their activities.Also, her main focus is to ensure sustainability. Bringing about a green revolution, changing people's psychological apperception to reduce their carbon footprint and making true climate-neutral citizens, conserving natural resources, and mitigating climate change are some of her visions.
Besides Farzana is an active thinker with a sense of responsibility who came with an exceptional ability to handle any duty assigned.She is comfortable in both solitary and group situations.She does have excellent communication skills and also have excellent observational & listening skills which are highly effective when interacting with people.
