" The problems that the world is facing sometimes have simple yet elegant solutions. I believe I am an individual who can find and match the dots to make the world a better place.
The social impact I want to achieve through my initiative aligns with SDG goals. Also, the work and experiences make me a more credible individual each day. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: En Masse: Build & Thrive with Path to Quality Education
The project "Path to Quality Education," developed by Nafisa Mosaddek, focuses on children from low-income homes, such as those who live in slums or on the streets and have no other access to education. In Bangladesh, child labor is a big issue since children are frequently forced to work at a young age to support their family. This exemplifies the polar opposite social circumstances. Consequently, this project attempts to teach underprivileged children the alphabet and numbers so that they can at least read and write, and if sufficient resources are provided, it will be expanded into a fully functional school for them.
The project "Build & Thrive," founded by Ferdous Ara Swarna, focuses on creating a centralized donation facility for the general public, particularly by corporate personnel and university students, where they will be exposed to various projects where they can help improve the lives of disadvantaged individuals. The project will also include planning for the development of a website where people will be able to view various charity causes, such as clothing, nutrition supply, and other scopes, with a plan to highlight stories of different underdeveloped places through website blogs that would conclude with a call to action. Donors will be reassured that their gifts are actively assisting individuals by the website's transparent updates on donations and their effects. This cause will require the assistance of worldwide donors such as OxFam, Uniaid, and other established organizations.
For greatest effectiveness, these two projects have engaged into a partnership. In order to attract possible sponsors, " Build and Thrive " highlighted and promoted the former initiative in this collaborative effort. The former project, "Path to Quality Education," has been granted financial and other benefits via the centralized donation system of " Build and Thrive "
