Millennium Fellowship Project: Uchistha
Uchistha means leftover food in Sanskrit and is an initiative under the Center for Social Action of Christ University to reduce food waste generated by the PGs and Kitchens around the targetted area by helping those who suffer from hunger. Every day, an enormous amount of food in leftover meals is thrown into bins by almost every paying guest facility, hostel, and kitchen. Uchistha is a step to marginally eliminate this waste by distributing the meals to individuals prone to hunger.
About the Millennium Fellow
Anshul Kathpalia is a diligent and determined final-year student majoring in finance at Christ University, Bangalore. He was born and brought up in Delhi and loves his home city to its core. As one of his distinguishing characteristics, He believes pragmatist triumphs in the battle between optimists and pessimists, which drives his actions and allows him to draw out successful propositions in his life. Throughout his academic life, Anshul has set about multiple initiatives to bring a change in society.
