" “We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are “ - I assume that I am a very neutrally biased person which means at any situation I think like I am being faced by both sides of the same coin. This quality of mine makes me think globally and act locally. I am thus very excited to be a part of this Fellowship and impact the communities I work with for a long run and foster changes in the education model of such communities. Looking forward to bringing the soul back to the education system! "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Meraki

Our project is working towards creating a more inclusive and a sustainable learning environment in government schools in our area. Understanding the environment of learning for these students, we work towards creating better infrastructure, curriculum and health for students of various classes from 1 to 8.

About the Millennium Fellow

Avani is an epitome of “beyond the archetype “. She was raised in the cultural capital of India, Kolkata and growing up she realised that - an investment in knowledge pays the best interest. She is always involved in social matters around her and has taken active participation to improve socio-economic conditions around her. She definitely believes in going that extra mile to bring a change in the society. Her interest aligns with what she is pursuing in college and that honestly doubles up her interest in everything she has been upto so far.
