" Stories transcend time and space; they connect those across continents on companionship and trust. When I share and consume stories, I enter a global community that allows space for a diverse range of thoughts and voices. Being part of the Millennium Fellowship allows me to participate in a new range of narratives, one that strives for mutual goals. When I engage in my communities, I see we are more alike than different. My life aspirations to positively impact the world do not feel lofty when I remember there is a world inside each individual. In inspiring one person, we are able to cross-pollinate our knowledge and beliefs. I’m incredibly grateful to a part of the Millennium Fellowship and uplift my peers, as I trust they will do the same to me. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Subtle Asian Book Club

Subtle Asian Book Club is a group dedicated to amplifying Asian stories and voices. Each month, the club picks a book written by an Asian author. At the end of the month, the founders host a live show discussion with guest speakers and/or the author of the book featured, such as Fonda Lee, R.F. Kuang, Majan Kamali, and more. In the past, Subtle Asian Book Club worked with Hate Is A Virus to donate over $2,000 towards reducing Asian hate crimes and supporting the Asian diaspora community. Our goal is to educate and diversify our communities through books and storytelling.
