" If I had to choose one of my many strengths, it would be my ability to communicate
effectively. I think that the Millennium Fellowship will provide me with the opportunity
to further develop my skills. One of my favourite things to do is to meet new people
because I believe that there is something valuable to be learned from everyone we
encounter. One may always gain insight from people of other cultural backgrounds and
racial backgrounds. Because of this, I believe that the Millennium can provide me with
the chance to learn about and experience new cultures, ideas, and points of view. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Obadh

Obadh works for the female students of Chittagong University. We aim to help the women during their menstruation by ensuring availability of sanitary pads on campus, and by spreading awareness about it.

About the Millennium Fellow

Asma Ara Alam, a current student in the Economics department at the University of
Chittagong, is a vibrant, jovial , and enthusiastic individual. She currently resides in the
nation she was born in, Bangladesh, which is quite small. She has volunteered with a
nonprofit organisation whose work directly relates to the UN's sustainable goals
(improving the lives of children on the streets and feeding them, for example). Her
commitment and enthusiasm in the social realm undoubtedly attract some interest.
She is able to lead and communicate with a positive attitude, which fosters an upbeat
atmosphere where individuals feel safe sharing their thoughts and feelings. Asma Ara
wants to improve her abilities so that she can use them on a larger stage and make
her own contribution to the creation of the United Nations' Sustainable Goals.
