This Fellowship will allow me to learn, and grow and will push my limits further while serving people to the best of my abilities. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Aquarius
Many faculties on our campus lack safe drinking water for students. As our campus in short on safe water supply, Project aquarius will ensure potable water for students, teacher and local residents by installing safe water systems on Chittagong University campus.
To provide free access to drinking water, we will install water purifiers with high capacity of water filtration on the campus. The main goal of this project is to assure that there is sufficient supply of safe water in campus such that no one is more than 200 meters away from the nearest water filling station. It promotes public health by preventing people from drinking contaminated water and the spread of water-borne diseases. These Water filling stations will also reduce sugar-sweetened beverage consumption as well as the use of plastics. It attempts to build a union wherein students will understand the significance of having clean water and work for it.
