About the Millennium Fellow
Mercy Stephen is a brilliant, bold and a go getter student at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa. She was born in Mombasa and currently studies in Nairobi, Kenya.
Mercy has always been passionate about International Law, human rights, humanitarian actions, good governance, global affairs, politics, and finding ways to enhance political growth, international peace, security, justice and economic growth in order to make the world a better place. This was realized by the problems the state and it's people are facing.
Because of this, Mercy has been involved in many activities to make her dream come back to life. She has worked in the government helping people to register their NGO's to help others. While doing this, she became a member of one NGO where they believe the knowledge of law should be a lifeskill so they educate people on them for them to stand up for theirselves. At the moment, Mercy is working at an International organization that deals with humanitarian assistance and crisis response. On top of it Mercy is a member of the Kenya Model United Nations where they simulate the UN and deliberate on the current issues. The resolutions are usually forwarded to UN as youth opinion for active consideration for its own functioning & planning purposes.
