Duke Kunshan University | Kunshan, China | Advancing SDG 3 & UNAI 6

" The distinction of a Millennium Fellow can increase my influence by attracting people to join my project as organizers and audience. Finally, my project can reach more people waiting for help, which is my goal. I believe that I can gain many skills as a Millennium Fellow and have a better understanding of the United Nations’ Sustainable Goals. I am excited to participate in the project with my creativity and leadership. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: De-stigmatization of Mental Illness
I would like to promote the destigmatization of mental patients among people in society and help the patients to stop self-stigmatization. I expect to popularize the scientific knowledge about mental illness by holding public lectures in my university and community and sharing the daily lives of mental patients with the public by making and uploading short videos on Tik Tok. I will also cooperate with the school's staff from Psychological Counseling Services to provide the free one-to-one meetings with people with mental illnesses and work with the local charity to help mental patients find jobs.
