Millennium Fellowship Project: Your Depression Hotline!
Our project " Your Depression Hotline" aims at creating a support group and a safe environment where depressed individuals can learn self-help behaviors to better deal with depression. Support groups are a proven way of dealing with many clinical issues that affect mental health as they create a sense of community and togetherness among people suffering from similar problems thereby improving their convalescence. We plan to use this knowledge to help our target audience. It doesn't end there, we will also be enlightening the entire student population on major causes of depression and self-help behaviors to better deal with depression. We also aim at improving the public's perception of depression. It is not a terminal illness, neither is it an evil phase but it is something we can all fight together.
