" "Many people have failed to realize that in encouraging more women to pursue STEM careers, we are leading them into a lion's den without addressing the lion himself. Like the female pioneers before us that fought for women's suffrage, we can come together and address the institutions that are forcing women out of the very industry we consistently push them into. In order to undermine this form of oppression, we must both lead but also listen, build up but also be bold. It can be done, but it can't be done alone." "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The C.O.L.O.R. Initiative

"Redefining Science by Redefining Scientists", The C.O.L.O.R. Initiative (or TCI) aims towards supporting women in male-dominated industries by creating a sense of community on college campuses and workplaces nationwide. Through speaking events, panel discussions, and community outreach programs, TCI equips women with knowledge about how to advance their careers and support one another. By creating educational posts on toxic workplace cultures, their effects, and resources to help, TCI also educates via social media.
