Millennium Fellowship Project: Role of Education in Fostering Peace
It is an independent project let by Millennium fellows Faiza, Dua, Laraib, and Kanwal. Our project focuses on education for those kids who are unable to get an education due to child labor and family financial issues. Our special focus is the slum areas of Rawalpindi, where the fellows voluntarily teach unprivileged kids under the Step Ahead welfare society and raise funds through social media campaigns for those kids who got admission to fulfill their educational expenditure and appreciate parents to help us to make possible all these circumstances that they trust on us and send thei children to get education. Almos 20 students got admission among 50 students we are teaching and now in future our main focus is to increase 50 children to 1000 that are get education.
About the Millennium Fellow
Laraib Zehra is a bright and talented law student at the institute of Fatima Jinnah Women University. She was born and raised in Skardu a small town in Pakistan, and is current studying in Rawalpindi a city in Pakistan. She was always passionate to do something for the education of people as education makes a nation strong and education is the fundamental right of every individual. It also helps in foresting peace
