Millennium Fellowship Project: SAWE4ALL
The project is called SAWE 4 ALL, an implementation of the SDG 16. Aim to enlighten
people on the importance of maintaining personal and environmental hygiene
especially for our water bodies to ensure good health and mitigate the mortality rate
due to water borne diseases. The primary target audience is the vulnerable members
of the community who do not have access to clean water and are not properly
enlightened on environmental and health sanitation
About the Millennium Fellow
Farida Idris is a young, determined and vibrant medical student at the Federal University Dutse, Jigawa State Nigeria. She was born in the northern part of the country (Kano State) popularly known as the centre of commerce, albeit still faced with high rate of poverty and illiteracy. Born in such an environment, she developed the passion within her to help and make the society much favorable for it's people. This has gravitated her towards her career path in the medical profession. She has also been significantly involved in various medical outreaches and community services to different local communities in need while as an undergraduate. Farida strongly believes in the sustainable development goals and will work within her capacity to advance these goals far and wide.
