" I do it not just for the joy and appreciation of the huge water bodies in the country but also the feeling of delivering good water to the drier areas of the country. With the skills I will gain from the Millennium Fellows I plan to help deliver good water to as much people as I can. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: SAWE4ALL
The project is called SAWE 4 ALL, an implementation of the SDG 16. Aim to enlighten
people on the importance of maintaining personal and environmental hygiene
especially for our water bodies to ensure good health and mitigate the mortality rate
due to water borne diseases. The primary target audience is the vulnerable members
of the community who do not have access to clean water and are not properly
enlightened on environmental and health sanitation
About the Millennium Fellow
Safiyya Abdullahi Ketso is an enthusiastic, transparent and passionate young lady studying Biotechnology at Federal University Dutse, though she lives in the city of Minna she is originally from a small village along the River Niger the north central part of Nigeria. For a long time, Safiyya had wanted to contribute positively to her community and improve the lives of those around her because although people along the River Niger have access to water they lack the access to clean, pure and treated water for consumption as well as sanitation.
