" I'm passionate about creating awareness and I'm excited because Millennium Fellowship is giving me a platform and believing in me to be able to educate people about green energy. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Energy Analysis

Majority of energy sources is from fossil fuels
which is on the decline as it is exhaustible. In
2014, 65% of greenhouse gases was from
fossil fuels, and in 2018, 89% of greenhouse
gases was from fossil fuels, all of this on a
global scale as the percentage tends to be
everly increasing. This has an adverse effect
on the climate which is not reversible.
In a bid to evade the consequences of fossil
fuels, green energy is being sought after
considering advantages and opportunities
attached to it. Green energy comes from
natural resources as they are readily available
such as sunlight, wind, water, geothermal heat.
They are renewable. These energy sources
are climate friendly as there is absence of
harmful emissions.
The project centers on educating individuals
the need for clean energy and promoting
energy efficiency.
I live in a rural area where people see no need
for green energy as they view fossil fuels as
their right and only energy source whenever
they are in need of energy.
The project revolves on educating individuals
within reach on how they can help contribute
positively to the climate. Other activities will be
encouraged such as tree planting etc during
the exercise.
