" Sanity involves the soundness, rationality, and health of the human mind; this is something everyone needs to know and scrape off the idea of insanity as the public display of madness. Depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, addictions, and other forms of mental challenges are manifestations of insanity. It is so pitiful that insanity manifests more than sanity among the youths nowadays, and I stand to reverse it by making everyone aware of, embrace, and promote sanity. I believe that being a member of the Millennium Fellowship will help me achieve this goal by teaming me with like minds that I will work collaboratively with to meet a broader audience of people who needs freedom from whichever form of insanity they are experiencing. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Sanity Over Insanity
Sanity Over Insanity: You know, when I look around me and observe the kind of society I find myself in, I realize that people are trying each day to cover up the thin line between "normalcy" and "being right". When I looked critically into it, I see that, not everything that's normal is right. That's exactly where we are getting it wrong. The bad vibes, the negative mindsets are now bring adopted by people around us and they will be like, "it's a normal thing". That's exactly what I think of as "insanity". Insanity, is the absence of a medically and psychologically healthy mind. How can I personally change all these "wrong normalcy"? Then I thought within me and say, "If I can get Sanity to overrule Insanity, then everything will be restored to how they're supposed to be like. Then I choose to preach "Sanity Over Insanity".
Sanity Over Insanity will be a channel through which I can effectively communicate with the youths and teens around me and beyond, as much as I can reach, the effectiveness of building and holding on to a sane mind.
About the Millennium Fellow
Sunday Caleb Usman is a young and value-oriented Mechatronics Engineering student at the Federal Univerity Oye Ekiti. He is a lover of positivity and change who craves to see every youth live with a good mentality, see the good side of everything, and be self-confident. That has inspired him to use his writing and speaking skills to get to the younglings of his generation (and the ones to come) and see the positive changes he expects in them.
