Millennium Fellowship Project: Waste To New (Waste2New)
Waste to New (Waste2New) is an independent project that addresses issues of transforming
waste into new products. The project aims to create awareness on how waste can be
properly turned into new products and how other recyclable waste can be properly
disposed in order to foster a clean environment
About the Millennium Fellow
I am Oyenuga Omobolanle Ayobami, a Year4 student of Civil Engineering at The Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Nigeria. Omobolanle is a citizen of Nigeria. Omobolanle has always been passionate about her advocacy for equity for all genders, respect for human rights, advocating for a cleaner environment and rendering volunteering services for the growth of her community. This drive translated itself in her few experiences serving as a student leader in her high school years and currently in her faculty at the University. These roles helped her in ensuring to improve her time management skills while still
being dedicated to her academics. Omobolanle has successfully organized various philanthropic programs through the leadership posts she has held and she plans to
continue in the future ahead. Omobolanle aspires to cultivate these advocacies further by contributing to the development of the United Nations Sustainable Goals as a
Millennium Fellows Member at her University.
