Millennium Fellowship Project: LanguageBridge

In light of the issue of many ethnic minorities or new immigrants facing many significant obstacle in different areas such as employment due to the language barrier, the aim of this project is to try to do something to help these groups of people to learn the local language in Hong Kong, which is Cantonese, so that they may be able to be integrated into the local society more easily, also, this can help the interexchange of different cultures in Hong Kong to be more effective so that the society in Hong Kong can be more inclusive.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ngok Tsz Nok Charles is a student studying Accounting and Finance at the University of Hong Kong. As an enthusiatic, self-motivated and proactive person who is interested in learning more about different languages and cultures, he thinks that one of the meanings of life is to make positive impacts to society. It is believed that his prior collaration with people of diverse countries and cultures, along with his experience in learning a new language (French), can facilitate his work in this project.
