Millennium Fellowship Project: Health Awareness and Education Project
We in Yemen are a developing country and education is very poor and it is considered one of the weakest countries around the world in terms of education because of the conditions of war and poverty in the country
Many infectious diseases spread due to poor health awareness and health education, especially among school students
This led to the spread of diseases, including diabetes, malnutrition, obesity, thinness, celiac, and other infectious diseases, and the large number of injuries in schools and their exacerbation due to poor education in first aid and the way to deal with accidents and injuries correctly.
We as university students know this and we all lived it in the primary and basic stages of education
We suffered from injuries, burns, fractures, and malnutrition diseases, and we had no knowledge of these things
Therefore, we seek in our project to seek to educate school students about these things in order to help them avoid them and prevent the rapid spread of diseases among students and protect them from them.
Therefore, we held training courses for 50 secondary students at Khawla Bint Al-Azwar School, near Ibn Al-Nafees University for Medical Sciences. The courses lasted for three days and included the following topics:
(First aid - diabetes - malnutrition diseases - celiac disease)
Led by the most prominent and best doctors from the university in these fields
We distributed a number of awareness brochures to the students about these diseases and topics
We also distributed 50 simple first aid kits to the participating students
Our project seeks to achieve the third goal of sustainable development, which is health and well-being
It also seeks to achieve the fourth goal of the sustainable development goals, which is education for all
We hope that the idea spreads around the world and is implemented by many of our colleagues in the Millennium Fellowship
You possess knowledge, ability and knowledge, and you have learned things that can help others avoid diseases, spread health awareness, and reduce the spread of diseases among your younger brothers from school students.
We thank the Millennium Fellowship Program for what they gave us during the previous period and what we learned from them in terms of many skills, values and principles that helped us expand our perceptions and will help us advance a sustainable world, a world that achieves the goals of sustainable development
