Millennium Fellowship Project: Empowering Women in Society
As you know, Yemen is a developing country and it is one of the worst countries in terms of education around the world. In addition to the conditions of war, the educational system in it suffers great suffering. Women in particular suffer from the disadvantages of war and famine, and some of them have lost their father, husband or son, and they have lost someone they depend on in this matter. life
She found no one to support and help her but herself
That is why we sought in our project, albeit in a modest way, to start spreading the culture of empowering women in society and teaching women skills required in the labor market so that they find a place for themselves in this society.
University students learn and possess great knowledge - why not share our knowledge with women who suffer from their inability to work and earn daily sustenance, and help them acquire the skills and capabilities they can that will help them overcome the difficulties of life and achieve equality and empower women in society
Therefore, we seek in our project to educate women in the neighborhoods adjacent to the university. Those who study in secondary school while they are displaced and suffer from poverty are 70 students
About the Millennium Fellow
I am reem Iam 20 years old I am from Yemen I was born in Taiz city. I am a dental student and I have completed my first year I joined the Millemium Fellowship program and chose to achieve the goal of equality between men and women becouse of the racism and oppression of women in our yemeni socity .women suffer from unconsciosness as they do not define their rights and duties they grow up in an anvironment that makes them live in inferiority and humilation where some families,if do not all,see that women have no right to education and express their opinion and say no. the great problem is that many Yemeni people think that women are marginal or reduntdant and do not deserve to be respected and appreciated,there for we need equality between women and men to the satisfaction of goal.socity must know that a woman is not a nation or acommodity and a beautiful form.socity must that a woman is not always required to be perfect in order to obtain the approval of a man in her life . women should be stronger and free because they constitute half of socity so I am excited to be CEO of my project that can make even samll defference to help women in Yemen as I will work hard on a project that is rehabilitation center for women that includes educating women and teaching them some skills>
