United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. Over 31,000 young leaders on 2,400+ campuses across 140+ nations applied to join the Class of 2022.  200+ campuses worldwide (just 8%) were selected to host the 3,000+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: READ WITH A FRIEND

Read with a friend is a group project run by a group of young girls with the aim of encouraging reading habit and exposure to children in primary schools in Ibadan. It is targeted toward the SDG 4 as education and reading cultures are slowly eroding.

About the Millennium Fellow

Nellychris is a final-year student of Archaeology and Anthropology from the University of Ibadan who resides in Oyo state Nigeria. She is an enthusiastic personnel who is eager to contribute to team success through hard-work, attention to details and excellent organizational skills. Nelly is also interested in using her anthropological and volunteering skills to understand the basic
challenges of women and children. Loves learning, enjoys volunteering, researching and works well under pressure. As a serial volunteer and a great collaborator, Nellychris is a quick learner and this has allowed her the opportunity to create strategies and ideas for group success. These experiences have taught Nelly commitment, time management, problem-solving, and most importantly instilled collaborative skills. As a team player Nelly is empathic and enjoys brainstorming with team members to reach team success. Believing that she can change the world a step at a time by ensuring the success of the UN SDS's
